Food Upcycling
From waste to possibility
You have landed on the website for the Food Upcycling project – a project that helps companies convert underutilised side streams from food production into valuable products. The goal is to reduce food waste, lessen environmental and climate impact, and strengthen the competitiveness of Danish food producers and related industries such as process, technology suppliers, and transporters.
The project runs from 2025 to 2027 and during this period assesses the business potential for upcycling side streams in collaboration with over 200 Danish and international companies. Approximately 40 companies will receive tailored development programs focusing on process development, safety, and shelf life.
